All sorts of jazz, free jazz and improv. Never for money, always for love.
A concert recorded in July 2002 at the Vancouver Jazz Festival. No idea why it’s coming out this late, but it’s a pretty good performance featuring Carrier’s trio at the time (Pierre Côté and Michel Lambert), plus pianist Bobo Stenson as a guest for that tour. Creative jazz rich in spontaneous melodies (“Lekh Leka”) and the pure enjoyment of playing. Very fine telepathy between Stenson and Carrier, one of Canada’s greatest saxophonists of today, all jazz styles combined.
